Map Help
How to Search
You can type in an address or type in a township, range and section, hit the search button and if it finds the location it will display it on the map.
Searching by Township, Range and Section is much more reliable than by address.
How to View Different Layers on the Map
When you first go to the site, 4 map layers are switched on by default: Streets, parcels, sections and floodplain. You can switch these layers on and
off by clicking on the check box next to the name of the layer you want to look at then clicking on the UPDATE button at the bottom.
How to Look at Information On The Map
You can find out information about any layer on the map by using the ID button:

To choose which layer you want to get information about, choose the appropriate RADIO BUTTON. The results are displayed at the bottom of the page.
You may have to scroll down a little to see the results.
How to Use the Tools to Zoom In and Out, Etc.
The tools on the right hand side of the page allow the user to interact with the map.
- The Zoom In tool allows the user to either click on the map to zoom in to that spot or click and drag to create a zoom-in box on the map.
- The Zoom Out tool allows the user to click on the map to zoom out at that point on the map.
- The Pan tool works by clicking and dragging the map whichever direction the user wants the map to move.
- The Full Extent tool will bring the map back to its original countywide view when you click on the tool.
- The Identify tool will bring up the information from the active layer (as describe above the middle button on the legend) when a user clicks on the map.
- The Buffer tool works only with the parcels and none of the other layers on the map. After selecting the Buffer tool, the user can click on an area of the map,
which will bring up an input box asking for the size of the buffer. Entering in the number of feet the user wants to buffer to be, it will then select all of the
parcels within that buffer and allow the user to download the resulting information through a text file at the bottom of the screen.
